Would your Party support changing the rules so that producers can qualify for the regional tax credit based on where they film the production, rather than where they are headquartered?

Currently, Quebec’s Regional Tax Credit is only available to producers who operate in certain regions of Quebec. Other provinces, such as Manitoba and Ontario, offer similar regional tax benefits without requiring the producer to be based in that region. Because of this, some Quebec producers are choosing to film their English-language projects in other provinces where they can receive better tax credit or financial incentives.
