Zero Tolerance: Harassment

Harassment can take different forms.
It can be psychological, physical, sexual, but can also be a humiliation, an insult, a discrimination, offensive language, an unwanted advance, a unwelcomed touch, a disparagement, etc.
It can be a behaviour, an action or a comment that is offensive, hostile or that simply does not respect the physical/psychological dignity/integrity and which is unwanted. Harassment leads to a harmful work environment.
It is imperative to signal and denounce all forms of harassment.
- If you feel comfortable, you may begin by signaling the incident to the person who has caused it.
- It is necessary to report the incident to production immediately to the designated production person responsible for receiving such complaints.
- Please contact your union as soon as possible.
- You may also advise your agent.
- If need be, consult these helpful resources –Anti-Harassment Resources – ACTRA Montreal
Production’s obligations:
- Must have a harassment protocol for each production.
- Must designate and identify the person responsible to receive harassment complaints.
- Must ensure that everyone (even you) are respecting the law, the collective agreement and the Code of Conduct.
