The 2SLGBTQIA+ committee is dedicated to elevating the voices of queer performers within the audiovisual industry. We seek to promote equity in the representation of queer performers, to improve fair and equitable working conditions for queer performers, and to expand awareness of stigma, harassment and stereotyping within the industry. We seek to foster support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community by elevating awareness of the needs of the queer community. We desire to create a safer space wherein the 2SLGBTQIA+ community can not only safely communicate needs and grievances to a receptive audience, but wherein the lives and successes of its members can be celebrated. We desire to expand this safer space beyond the committee walls; to build bridges through education and outreach with the larger community and other industry groups.
