Social Media & Publicity workshop banner
Presented by the ACTRA Montreal YEAA Committee

The ACTRA Montreal Young Emerging Artists’ Assembly Committee is pleased to host a Social Media & Publicity Work Shop for Young or Emerging members of ACTRA Montreal.

The Young Emerging Artists’ Assembly (YEAA) of ACTRA Montreal identifies, recommends, and assists in coordinating initiatives for young and/or emerging artists of ACTRA Montreal.

With the evolution of social media, producers are looking more and more to actor’s online presence when determining their casting decisions. By equipping actors with the tools to shape their brand through social media, they will be enticing new work opportunities both to themselves as performers, and to the city of Montreal.

This workshop focuses on how to personalize a performer’s brand, and how to optimize reach through their chosen social media platforms, including Twitter, TikTok and Instagram. Fundamentals of self-publicity will allow actors to prepare for external relationships with significant media outlets, further increasing their clout in the eyes of production.
